THE THESIS / 01

There are over 48,000 personal injury firms in this country. Half of them won't survive five years. Not because the attorneys aren't talented. Because they're playing a game nobody taught them the rules to.

The gap between being a great attorney and running a great firm is where careers go to die.

I'm not an attorney. I'm the guy attorneys call when they're ready to stop losing.

Cost per lead is a vanity metric. It tells you nothing.

CH.2 · THE RAINMAKER

Same leads. Same ads. Same hundred thousand dollars. Fifty-seven signed cases.

CH.3 · THE CLOSER

The best attorney never wins because the best attorney keeps the wrong people in the chairs and calls it loyalty. The best operator fires fast, hires slow, and never confuses comfort with competence.

PREFACE · INTRODUCTION · CHAPTER ONE

The first time Jim called me, he sounded like a guy who had it figured out.

Personal injury attorney in Louisiana. Decent staff. Cases coming in. A nice little practice that paid the bills and kept the lights on. He'd heard about Case Connect, and I walked him through all of it. Marketing. Intake. Case acquisition at scale. The system. The math. He said, "Let me think about it."

The second time Jim called me was a year later. His voice was tighter. He'd let a couple staff members go. Volume was down. Same system. Same math. Same opportunity. He said, "Let me think about it."

The third time Jim called me, I knew. He was alone in an office that used to have people in it, calling me because he didn't know what else to do. He was finally ready to buy.

And I had to tell him no.
